Stock IQ: Equity Game is a stock market simulation game, that simplifies your decision to 2 simple judgements - (a) What will the price of a stock be and (b) in what timeframe. In the real world, your decision to buy or sell a stock is based on this judgement/prediction, even though you may not be making it consciously. This game boils down this prediction or judgement to a fun 2 tap play. When the play completes (market closes on the predicted day), the app sends you a notification if you got it right (Called it !) or not. Depending on how confident you are about a particular prediction you can allocate more or less virtual coins to each play. Get it right, you win more coins from a pool of coins from all players but be careful, get it wrong and you could loose coins - Dont worry, its all virtual coins so you are not really risking much to get educated on the stock market. Doesnt matter if you are a pro at the stock market or a newbie with no experience - with this game, you can learn to make the essential core decisions of buying and selling in a no-risk fun game play that takes a few seconds to play. Do it over a 3 to 12 month period and you will know everything you need to know about your stock market abilities. Why did we build this game - - To keep a record of what we thought about a stock, without messing with clumsy and time consuming spreadsheets. - To have fun while keeping an eye on the stock market without losing money - To gain confidence on our ability to judge if and when to buy or sell a stock - Shadow the talking heads on CNBC, Bloomberg, Yahoo! Finance and decide which of them is simply a talking head and which of them gets it right regularly - Take no risks, but learn and hone our stock market ability just playing. To play the game, all you need to do is make 2 choices - -Predict if a particular stock will be higher than or lower than a given price on a specified day and - Assign virtual coins to your prediction - more coins if you are very confident, less if you are not. All it takes is 2 taps. When you get it right (Called it!), you WIN the virtual coins that others put in and got it wrong. Have fun playing this stock market game - - You will be able to track your ability to pick winning stocks and identify losing stocks, without losing any money in the stock market, - You will be able to keep track of your favourite (or not) talking-head on CNBC/Bloomberg/Yahoo! Finance and fact check them over time - Convince yourself (and your spouse/partner :) ) that you are ready to invest in the stock market or convince them that they not ready to invest in the stock market Stocks in this version - Major stocks listed on stock exchanges of USA (NASDAQ and NYSE), United Kingdom (London Stock Exchange) and India (BSE and NSE) are included in this version. For e.g. all stocks that belong to the S&P 500 or Dow Jones Industrial Average and these indices are available . A partial list includes BAC | Bank of America Corporation AAPL | Apple Inc. The prediction lines could be daily (results at close of market the next day), weekly (results on close of markets on Friday), monthly (results on close of market on the last day of the month), quarterly (end of quarter) and end of the year.
